United Against Poverty hosts our largest signature fundraising event, the Hand UP Luncheon, on the first Friday of October every year.
Now more than ever, families are experiencing food insecurity with limited or uncertain access to enough food to support a healthy lifestyle.
The recent surge in inflation exacerbates inequality and poverty by disproportionately impacting the income and savings of lower and middle-income households. Much of our state’s workforce is unable to provide for their families. Senior citizens living on limited incomes are particularly vulnerable. People everywhere are stressed about being able to purchase groceries for their families. For these reasons UP Orlando Member Share Grocery Program has continued to be available for those who need it most.
We are putting our full resources behind assisting our community – but we need your help, and there are a couple of ways to help lift the lives UP of those in need in our community.
- Become a Table Host by registering today.
A Table Host will create an online fundraising page to help spread the love for United Against Poverty digitally. You can share your own personal testimony, as well as updates from us, and invite your family, friends, and colleagues to contribute financially if they feel so moved. We hope you will put on the cape and answer the call to action.
- Make a general donation, whether that’s one time or on a reccurring basis.
General donations are put to use where the need is greatest, and they ensure we can continue to operate at full capacity and serve more than 450 people a day on our Michigan St. campus in SoDo.
United Against Poverty relies on individual donations to provide services to those in need. With your continued support, our team will provide services for all of the people that we can, in all of the ways that we can, for as long as we can.
