On February 15, 2024, my colleagues and I, are participating in an outdoor Spin-A-Thon benefitting HomeStart's work to end and prevent homelessness.
HomeStart is a non-profit agency, leading provider of housing services for people who are currently experiencing homelessness, who have recently moved from homelessness to housing, or who are at risk of becoming homeless by way of eviction.
On any given night in Boston, there are 4,645 people experiencing homelessness: 1,591 individuals and 3,054 people in families. Over the course of a year, more than 15,000 people will experience homelessness in Boston, and local, state, and federal sources will spend over $200M in emergency services to address the problem in Boston.
Please help me in raising funds and awareness for this agency uniquely positioned to dramatically reduce homelessness.
