As many of you already know, in 2019 we found out halfway through my pregnancy with our third son Lawson that he would be born with Spina Bifida.  We were shocked and devastated and were scared of the unknown. A close friend referred us to The Bell Center and we went for a tour while we were awaiting his arrival.  The Bell Center provides life changing early intervention therapy for children from birth to 3 years old.  Just one month after brain surgery, Lawson had his first therapy session at only 6 weeks old. We saw first hand during the three years that Lawson attended The Bell Center just how invaluable their services were.  We went from carrying him in at his first session to him wheeling himself in, to him walking himself out with a walker for his last session..something we never knew if we would see.  We can't say enough wonderful things about this special place.  We know that Lawson would not be doing as well as he is today without them.

I am thrilled to be running this year's TCS NYC Marathon as a BellRunner on November 3rd. To answer the question as to "Why I Run" that's an easy one.  I run in honor of Lawson. I run for all the other precious children who receive the amazing services at The Bell Center. Let's go!!
