Please state the reason(s) you are supporting Project GRAD Akron and raising funds for the scholarship fund. I want to help remove barriers which may prevent students from accessing a quality education.  I received scholarships and community support during my school studies which contributed to me.  I want to give others the same opportunity.

Name of your favorite teacher and what made the person special to you: Mr. Nishijima was one of our first Japanese language teachers in high school. He was a Japanese school Principal who lived in the U.S. for a year so we could have a native Japanese language teacher.  He maintained interest in my studies and gave me advice in later years when I taught in Japan.

What were some of your most enjoyable times in school?  (preschool through college): Visiting schools to compete on the debate & track teams ; studying in the law library; learning culture & languages

Looking back over the years, what advice would you give to your high school self or college self? Take every opportunity to learn & participate in group activities; when in doubt, always move forward pursue experiences rather than possessions.
