Please state the reason(s) you are supporting Project GRAD Akron and raising funds for the scholarship fund. When I was in high school, I participated in a similar program that laid the foundation for my college education and exposed me to various experiences and opportunities that I likely would not have had if I wasn't in that program. I would like to pay it forward for this generation.
Name of your favorite teacher and what made the person special to you: My favorite teacher was Mark Yochum, who was my tax law professor. He had a background in theater and made use of it to help make what could have been an extremely boring course an exciting one, as well as making the content more easy to learn.
What were some of your most enjoyable times in school? (preschool through college): In high school, most enjoyable times were the summers I spent in the Upward Bound program on Pitt's campus.
Looking back over the years, what advice would you give to your high school self or college self? To my high school self: You have so much to learn, you haven't even scratched the surface. To my college self: The only person you're in competition with is you.
Favorite quote: It's not how you start, it's how you finish.
