Why I Walk

I was diagnosed with Preeclampsia at 26 and 33 weeks during my pregnancies.  We lost our son Robert at only 5 days old in September 2022 due severe prematurity complicated by early onset preeclampsia and a rare placental disease.  In 2023, i again was diagnosed with preeclampsia, and delivered a premature baby boy who is now 4 months old and thriving.  Its important to spread awareness and educate others on the symptoms and risks of preeclampsia to educate others, and push research forward to find a cure that goes beyond delivery as the only means to an end.
