Why I Walk
I run/walk this year because I was diagnosed with preeclampsia at 28 weeks with Lilly and around 20 weeks with Cecilia. Lilly was an emergency c-section because of complications I was experiencing due to preeclampsia. We were incredibly fortunate to have had excellent care to ensure healthy baby & mom. This is not always the case. Mother mortality rate is on the rise in the US. The more people support research & education about preeclampsia- we can continue to ensure happy and healthy outcomes for all. Every mother counts.
