Why I Walk

In November of 2023 I received the diagnosis that would change my family and I's lives forever. Preeclampsia. I was given no resources during prenatal care on how to spot and treat preeclampsia and its symptoms and went undiagnosed for more than 5 weeks of my pregnancy. What started as an exciting, beautiful, and healthy first pregnancy quickly turned into an emergency life threatening event for both me and my daughter. I am grateful to have received the care I did when it mattered the most and want to support the Preeclampsia Foundation's efforts to end maternal fetal mortality due to preeclampsia, HELLP Syndrome, and eclampsia. While I never wish this experience on anyone, I can confidently say that I am thankful to have been given the opportunities to spread awareness, share my story, and advocate for  the women in my life. Preeclampsia has given me a purpose and I am beyond blessed to be able to share that with you. Thank you!
