I walk so that young moms never have to know the fear and trauma caused by preeclampsia with severe features. No baby should have to be born early because of this condition, and moms should not have their lives at risk while trying to keep their babies in just a little longer so they have a better chance at survival. 
Both my babies were born early due to preeclampsia, and my oldest spent the first 3.5 weeks of his life in the nicu. If there were a cure or a better way of preventing or treating preeclampsia, other mothers won't have to know what it's like to be discharged from the hospital without their baby. They won't have to know a birth without being able to cuddle your newborn afterward or without being able to meet them until days later.
