We are TBAMoMS (Tampa Bay Area Mothers of Multiples), the Tampa chapter of the national 501(c) organization Multiples of America. We provide support and community to parents of mutiples (twins, triplets, quadruplets and beyond!)

In twin pregnancies alone, the rate of preeclampsia is higher than a singleton and the overall rate is around 9.5%, about two- to three-fold increased risk compared to singleton births. Preeclampsia in twins has also been reported to occur at earlier gestational age and has more severe forms.

A complication that has affected several of our own members and numerous mothers across the country, we walk to raise awareness of preeclampsia and support research and treatments. We strive to empower women, especially our fellow MoMs, to advocate for themselves and make sure they have access to early intervention and monitoring.
