Meredith Sherrier developed postpartum pre-eclampsia 5 days after delivering her son, Bailey. It was a very difficult time for her whole family. Meredith was rehospitalized for over 48 hours. Cody, her husband, stayed home with Bailey who was a newborn and missed his mama. Bailey didn't understand what was going on. He just knew something was wrong and his mama wasn't around.
Meredith had to be on a mag drip for 24 hours to drop her blood pressure. Then she had to go on blood pressure medication for 3 months. She will need to watch her sodium intake and exercise regularly to reduce her risk of stroke.
