2024 Team Resilience

Erika's Lighthouse is determined to make sure no young person feels alone in their depression. We are dedicated to creating a community of empathy and education. We create middle school and high school teen depression awareness programs so educators and teens can create safe spaces to learn about depression, letting students know they are never alone, and there is somewhere to turn.

For the past several years, I have been living with anxiety and depression. While my family and friends have been super supportive in helping me find the help that I needed, I wish that I had the resources of Erika's Lighthouse when I was a student in middle school and high school. From my time teaching high schoolers and upper elementary students (grades 4th and 5th), I have realized how important knowledge of mental health and having a safe space for them really is. School is often a place where students go to feel safe, and having the resources from Erika's Lighthouse available to them can be very valuable in their lives. Thank you for all of your support as I take on this huge goal of mine, while supporting something that means a lot to myself. Any donations are very appreciated, but at this time if you cannot support financially, all prayers throughout my training would be just as helpful. God bless!

This year my goal is $2,500. If I hit my goal, a very generous angel donor will match my goal. This means $5,000 will be donated to help spread mental health awareness and resources.
