This year I am raising money in honor of Sweetheart! This gorgeous girl came into the shelter as a stray with a severe upper respiratory infection, loss of appetite, and a low-level trust of people. After evaluating her, the BVSPCA medical staff gave her the care that she needed, and the West Chester Lifesaving Coordinator found the most FANTASTIC foster, Elaine, who gave Sweetheart the love, care & patience that she needed to get better. A month after she had come in and was feeling more like her true self, she was a part of a dog adoption event - as soon as she saw her 2 human little brothers, her eyes lit up and the family knew they couldn't go home without her! Throughout this time, with the help and assistance of the Brandywine Valley SPCA, the attributes Sweetheart came in with, aren't the ones she left with! She truly found a second chance at life and is living like a princess with her forever family!
