Friends, I’m reaching out with something incredibly important.
Right now, the U.S. government is terminating critical HIV research grants—grants that have played a massive role in the progress we’ve made over the past few decades. This decision threatens to stall, or even reverse, the incredible strides we’ve made in prevention, treatment, and education.
In 2023, an estimated 1.3 million people around the world acquired HIV. That number reflects real progress—it marks a 39% decline in new HIV infections since 2010 and a 60% decline since the peak in 1995. That progress didn’t happen by accident. It happened because of decades of tireless work, funded by these very grants now being cut.
These research efforts gave us better testing, life-saving treatments, expanded access to care, and the education necessary to prevent transmission. And now, just when we’re closer than ever to an AIDS-free generation, we’re at risk of losing the momentum.
That’s why I’ve started this fundraiser—to help bridge the gap and keep vital research and outreach efforts alive. Every dollar counts. Every donation is a step toward saving lives, continuing critical research, and ensuring a future where no one has to live with HIV.
Please consider donating, sharing, and spreading awareness. We can’t afford to let progress fade now. ❤️
