Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club
All AVSC athletes are encouraged to set up their very own Strongest Together Peer-to-Peer fundraising platform to help offset their program fees while also raising funds for other athletes to ensure that every child that wants to participate in AVSC programs is able to do so. 60% of the donations that an athlete raises will go on their Campminder account as a credit to be used toward the 2025-2026 season's program fees and travel expenses, with the remaining 40% going directly to AVSC's scholarship fund.
Below are some tips and tricks AVSC athletes can use to promote their fundraising page:
After creating and logging in to your fundraising page (top right on the AVSC Strongest Together website). Go to your profile by clicking your name, which will allow you to customize your fundraising page, promote your page, see your donations, and much more.
Start to get familiar with your page and follow along with the following directions to help you raise more money!
1. Customize your page:
- Select “Edit my Page” once logged in to your profile page.
- Upload a profile picture of yourself.
- Under the “My Personal Fundraising Page,” there’s an opportunity add your story. Click the settingsbutton in the top right corner of the box to tell your supporters who you are and why you love toski/board. You can also add another picture here and change the text and color.
- It’s recommended to type this story in a word document and copy & paste the text into the box. Makesure you save your work by selecting “Update” under the box AND the green “Save Page” (bottom left).
2. My Donations:
- Go back to your profile and select “My Donations.”
- Here you can add your personal fundraising goal, keep track of your goal, and add a personal donation to your account.
3. Share Event:
- In your profile, select “Share Event.”
- You are given the option of sharing your fundraising page via Email or Facebook:
- Send an Email: Write your own personalized email or choose from the AVSC template and send toyour donors and/or potential donors. You can also import additional email addresses via yourpersonal email account.
- Share on Facebook: Simply select “Share on Facebook” on your page – you'll be promoted to login toyour media account in order to share this information out.
- You can also create a QR code directly to your profile to send out to friends and family to make it easyfor them on their phones.
