Thank you for joining us for the Inaugural Pulmonary Fibrosis Challenge, dedicated to the memory of MaryBeth Papetti. Sadly, my mother passed away during the peak of the COVID pandemic, primarily due to a rare respiratory illness known as Pulmonary Fibrosis. The absence she has left in our family has been deeply felt for years. We hope that this event not only honors her memory but also raises funds for research and support related to this rare and devastating disease.
Since her passing, I have always wanted to organize an event like this. With the support of the teams involved, Ridgefield Park and Bogota High School, as well as the community of Little Ferry, we aim to make this event as successful as other fundraising events held in North Jersey. On behalf of my family and myself, I want to express our gratitude to all of you for participating in this event; it truly means a lot to us!
This event will take place on April 18th-19th at Bassano Field 8 Indian Lake Drive, Little Ferry, New Jersey 07643.

7 pm: Ridgefield Park/Bogota vs Saddle Brook

Saturday, April 19th:

Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is a condition that causes lung tissue to become thickened, stiff, and scarred. The lungs eventually lose their ability to transfer oxygen into the bloodstream, making everyday activities such as breathing and walking extremely difficult. It is a progressive disease, which means it tends to worsen over time. Every individual diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis has a unique experience with the disease, and there is no “standard” or expected clinical course. With no known cure,  the disease is often fatal within three to five years of diagnosis. There are over 250,000 Americans living with PF today. Approximately 50,000 new cases are diagnosed each year.

Because of the work of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF), there is hope for those living with PF. Funds raised will support the PFF’s efforts to accelerate research, advance improved care for those living with the disease, and provide unequaled support and education resources for patients, caregivers, family members, and healthcare providers.

But we can't do this without you! Only with your support can we keep the PFF's mission active. Please click the "Donate" button to make your gift today. If anyone wishes to make a direct donation, a check can be made payable to the Pulmonary Fibrosis FoundationThank you in advance for your generous support!

Note, if you are participating in the tournament, please click "Register" on the right to register for yourself, and you’ll be directed to your fundraising page!
