Paws Up for a Great Cause!
I am so excited to be fundraising for the Brandywine Valley SPCA and helping to continue our life-saving work! I have been so privileged to see such amazing animals come through our shelters and move on to their fur-ever homes, and every donation made to the BOB fundraising efforts will help make future placements possible for the animals currently in our care.
In addition to shelter and adoption services, your donation will also assist with the many programs we offer as "Safety Nets" for the pet owners and animal lovers of our community. We supply 100s of pounds of cat and dog food to low-income pet owners each month, and our Animal Health Centers provide low-cost veterinary care to everyone in our community, not just our Adopters. The work we do doesn't end when an animal gets adopted: we are there for the families and pets every step of the way to keep them happy in their homes. Our Animal Behavior experts provide free counseling and resources for behavioral issues in order to reduce the need to rehome or return animals to the shelter.
No animal belongs in the shelter - they all long for a loving, secure family to live with and a place to call home. With your support, we can ensure that our animals receive the highest standard of care while they are in our shelter, and shorten their length of stay through community outreach and support. Thank you for being a part of our life-saving work!
Kittens Galore
Kitten Season in Sussex County has to be seen to be believed. With our large Community Cat population, every Spring brings a boom of kittens in need of medical attention, fosters, and eventually, adoption. Our community rallied together this year to provide immediate care for new litters coming into our lobby every day, and countless cats are living in loving homes this Fall because of the work of our Life-Saving Team.
Mistletoe, 6 y.o.
Found as a stray in December of 2024, Mistletoe has been patiently waiting for the right person to come along and take her home! Since coming to us, she has received surgery to remove a large mass on her underside, gained a healthy amount, and opened up from a scared, confused stray to a loving, affectionate, furry friend!
Sylvester, 1 y.o.
Sylvester is one of many critters currently living in our shelter, but always on the hunt for a home of his own! This sweet boy is still a puppy in so many ways, and wants to play all day but cuddle up in his owner's arms all night.
We, the Animal Lovers!
We would not be able to accomplish all of the work we do without our incredible volunteers. These generous, kind, hard-working folks give their time and so much more to our animals, and their dedication never ceases to amaze me. Whatever our animals need, our volunteers never fail to show up for them.
