My Personal Fundraising Page

Please support me in my mission to raise money to better the lives of shelter animals.

Many of you know my passion for animals and how important advocating for their well being means to me.  To be the voice of the voiceless. To be the hope for them that today, their lives will change for the better.  I have worked for BVSPCA for almsot 3 years now and Bark on the Boards is an annual fundraiser that I am proud to be a part of.  This year I have set a personal goal of $500, however I would love to exceed that.  No amount of donation is too small.  Don't donate for me though. Donate for those who didn't ask to be mistreated, abandoned, unloved or left to fend for themselves in an all too cruel world.  Working in animal welfare, I see heartache in the eyes of animals daily, but with the help of people like you who selflessly donate, together we can make a better life for these precious souls who deserve that chance.  Like I said though, don't donate for me.

Donate for Tiny Tim.  Tim arrived with his siblings at 4 weeks old, but did not thrive as they did.  It was determined that he was bleeding internally and his outcome was poor.  I took him home to offer supportive care, but was told he probably would not make it.  A little love from me and alot of will to live and tenacity from Tim and all of a sudden he started to improve.  The vets were flabbergasted as I was a bit myself.  Had he not gotten the care he needed throught the BVSPCA, he never would have made it.  Fostering saved him and Tiny Tim is now living his best life with big sister Chiquita, another BVSPCA alum cat.

Donate for Frida who was found wandering the streets of Wilmington, very heavily pregnant and untrusting of humans because more than likely, it was a human who failed her.  In the safey of the BVSPCA  Animal Rescue Center nursery, Frida was able to deliver her 8 precious pups in a warm and loving environment ensuring that their future would start out bright.  She was also heartworm positive and able to get the treatment she so desperately needed.  Her outcome on the street for her and her pups would not have been good.  Now her puppies are all adopted and Frida is a happy gal patiently waiting for her furever family to come along.

Donate for Linus and Lucy.  These 2 kittens arrived in horrible shape.  Both very young and already needing to have their right eye removed.  Linus and Lucy didn't asked to be abandoned just because they weren't picture perfect, healthy babies.  These two I took home to foster through their surgery and recovery.  I am glad I did.  The kittens I brought home were scared and sad. The kittens I took back once healed, were happy, playful and snuggly babies who were more than ready for their furever homes.

Donate for Cotton.  This little floofy girl was found as a stray at 8 weeks old.  Eyes and nose crusted over with sickness, very weak and thin when she arrived at the ARC.  Another foster kitten I took home because fostering truly does save lives.  It took a couple weeks, but Cotton's URI improved and she soon blossomed into the most beautiful kitten.  Cotton is now happily with her furever family who loves her fiercely.  Another happy ending that would not have happened without the support of the BVSPCA.

Donate for Gill and her 6 kittens.  Gill was found on Mothers Day in labor with kittens stuck in the birth canal.  She was rushed to Delmarva where her kittens were delivered safely via c-section.  One kitten did not make it, however the other 6 did.  Gill arrived at the ARC the day after they were born, a very affectionate and grateful mama.  Her kittens were able to be raised in the safe environment of a foster home.  Gill's outcome would surely have been tragic has Brandywine not taken her in.  She and her kittens are all now adopted into wonderful homes.

Donate for Ghost Pepper and Jalapeno who are current guests in the ARC nursery.  This sibling duo came in as part of a cruelty case.  Approximately 4 weeks old when they arrived, both were in very poor condition.  Over half a size smaller than their siblings and clearly struggling.  These two pups would not have made it without the intervention of the ARC team.  It didn't take long to realize that Ghost Pepper is deaf and blind in his left eye.  His sister, Jalapeno can hear, but, is completly blind and will soon be undergoing surgery for a double eye enucleation.  These two puppies have been on medical treatment since day one and to see how well they are doing now is amazing.  Ghosty relies on Jaly to be his ears.  Jaly relies on Ghosty to be her eyes.  Watching them together is a highlight of my day and it's been a true joy to be a part of their journey to the life they deserve.

I appreciate you taking the time to learn a little more about why I want to raise money for the BVSPCA through their annual Bark on the Boards celebration.  And like I said, don't donate for me.  Donate for those who, without your support, may not have the chance at the life they truly deserve.

Thank you all kindly.
