You may or may not know about a wonderful tradition at Camp Winnebago that occurs before hundreds of kids from Rockford and surrounding communities get to enjoy a summer of amazing activities, learning, and friendship. Each year, Camp Winnebago counselors and staff gather together to raise money for "camperships" through a live auction of various items, handcrafted goods, and tasty treats.
This year, $7,400 was raised to support "camperships" - scholarships that are avaialble to families so every child can have a fun summer experience at Camp Winnebago. This amount equates to approximately 35 weeks of camp, made avaialble through the generosity of college-age counselors.
