?We’re the Kuhn Family — Chris (dad), Jen (mom), Maggie (8), and Cora (5). Our youngest daughter, Cora, was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome, a rare and catastrophic form of epilepsy, when she was just 9 months old.

Born in 2020 during the pandemic, Cora experienced her first seizure at only 5 months old. Since then, she has faced more than 35 seizures, 18 hospitalizations, and 5 stays in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit on life support. Despite these challenges, she continues to amaze us every day with her strength, courage, and joyful spirit.

Cora works hard through countless therapies for speech, vision, development, and mobility. Her care includes a medically managed ketogenic/Modified Atkins diet and a daily regimen of nine medications to help reduce seizure activity.

Cora is truly the bravest person we know. She inspires us — and everyone who meets her — with her resilience and love of life.

As a Dravet Syndrome Foundation Family Ambassador, Jen helps raise awareness and funds through community initiatives like Dye it for Dravet and Dash for Dravet. Our family is deeply committed to supporting research and advocacy efforts to help find a CURE.
