Jasper was born early at 25 weeks December 5th, 2022. My husband Jake and I got 17 days with him in the Des Moines NICU before an infection took him from us on December 22, 2022. We feel very fortunate to have those 17 days given to us, as we know there are many mom and dads who don’t get that kind of time. That being said, we grieve his loss everyday and forever will. 
Hearing his name and dedicating an entire day to celebrate him means the world to us. To us it's like throwing a party for his birthday and if you are reading this, know you are celebrating it with us in whatever way you choose. Thank you!
