Twin Saints Fundraising Page

Our goal is to raise $500 for NFTS. We do get prizes at different levels for the amount me raise up to $7,500. Once we reach $250, we get a beautiful big pink heart sign for our yard, which I really want! At $500 we get two free tickets to the game, which would be awesome! If we get over this amount, I will be super excited. We need to reach $500 by April 22 to take advantage of this.

Our Story

I found out I was pregnant on Christmas 2022. I suspected it was twins. At our 8 week ultrasound, it was confirmed I was pregnant with twins. At 16 weeks, we were showing the signs of twin to twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). We were sent to the Midwest Fetal Care Center in Minneapolis, MN. We were monitored for 2 weeks as we started to progress through the beginning stages of TTTS. Finally at 18+1 weeks, we agreed to surgery due to the progression. After the surgery, it was discovered I had significant membrane separation due to the surgery. I was sent home on modified bedrest and 4 days later I PPROMd (aka water broke). We went to the hospital and found out I had a blushing bag and not a lot of cervix left. The nurse placed the monitors n me, which shrunk the sack. I went into preterm labor and gave birth later that night on Holy Saturday. George lived for 1.5 hours and Charles lived for 3.75 hours. He moved his little hands and arms and opened his eyes. They died on Easter Sunday.

We're raising money for No Foot Too Small!

I’m thrilled to be participating in 2025 Des Moines Angels in the Outfield, a fundraiser supporting No Foot Too Small! I’m passionate about this cause and need your help! Every donation—big or small—helps me reach my fundraising goal and directly impacts this important cause!

A big part of the mission of NFTS is to fund and help build bereavement suites to be added to hospitals. This ensures mothers whose babies are stillborn, miscarried, or laboring so prematurely there is little chance of survival to have a private suite to give birth to their babies and grieve. Having to hear other mothers joy of birth and their newborns is difficult after experiencing a loss. Those sweet cries from newly born babies are excruciating to a newly bereaved mom. They also provide a private exit so mothers who are leaving without a baby don’t have to walk out seeing and hearing those sweet new babies.

We became part of No Foot Too Small (NFTS) a few months after we lost George and Charles to preterm labor after TTTS intrauterine surgery. Please help us support NFTS with donations in George and Charles name. We would love a donation of 5 dollars or more to help support this great cause. Also, please join us on May 4th for Angels in the Outfield at Principle Park in Des Moines to celebrate George and Charles with a fun day at the park watching an Iowa Cubs game.

Here's how you can help:
