Preterm babies are at higher risk for problems eating, breathing, maintaining body temperature 
and developmental delays. The earlier a baby is born, the more problems the baby could have
with a greater probability those problems could persist throughout his/her life. 

Allen County has one of the highest prematurity rates in the state of Indiana. Healthier Moms
and Babies preterm rate for their families is at 2% which is significantly lower than our county
average. This speaks volumes for their services considering the high risk factors of the families
they serve.
