My name is Ethan Allen, and I am 15 years old, born and raised in Chicago, in the Midwest. I grew up watching my older brother play water polo, which inspired me to start my own water polo journey at the age of 5 with Windy City Water Polo at Fenwick High School. At age 8, my family moved, and I began training with Elmhurst Aquatics from York High School. In the summer of 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to train in Hungary for three weeks. The following year, in 2024, I spent the entire summer training and competing with SoCal Black 14U Water Polo in California. I also traveled to Canada in 2024 with the Midwest All-Star team and was honored to be invited to play with the Canadian All-Star team in January 2025. Currently, I am continuing my journey through the Olympic Development Program (ODP). I was selected to represent the Midwest region at the National Olympic Development Tournament in Livermore, CA, from March 14-16. Following this tournament, I was fortunate to be selected as one of the top performers by USA Water Polo, earning an invitation to the National Team Selection Camp in Orange County, CA, from April 25-27. I am truly humbled to have the opportunity to represent the Midwest at the national level and am incredibly grateful for all the support I have received.
