Hi Friends and Family! As many of you know, I was recently selected to represent our region (Coastal region) at the Olympic Development Program (ODP) National Championships tournament. My team went undefeated, winning first place at the tournament! It was an incredible experience to play with and against such high-level athletes! Shortly after this tournament, USA Water Polo selected top performers to participate in the National Team Selection Camp (NTSC) at the end of April. It is a 3-day evaluation camp, where I will be learning from some of the best coaches and players in the country, and competing for a spot on the Pipeline National Team, which will represent the United States at the U15 Pan American Championships in Bauru, Brazil this September. Unlike other countries’ teams, the US developmental pipeline teams are not funded by government support or by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, so every athlete competing at NTSC is required to fundraise a minimum of $1,425 to support this high-level programming.
