Support Delaney at USA Water Polo National Team Selection Camp
Hi, my name is Delaney Mulcrone, and I am a fourteen-year-old water polo player from Chicago. I am excited to share that I have recently been selected to attend USA Water Polo’s National Team Selection Camp (NTSC) this May- a huge honor and an incredible opportunity to train with the top athletes and coaches in the country.
Water polo isn’t just something I do-it’s part of who I am. My grandfather, Jim (Moose) Mulcrone, is in the International Water Polo Hall of Famer. He received this honor for his incredible contributions to the sport. He was a founding father of Midwest Water Polo and a legendary coach, dedicating his life to growing the sport in the Midwest. Even though he is no longer with us, I am incredibly proud to carry on his legacy in the pool.
I started swimming at the age of four and picked up a water polo ball at the age of five with the Chicago Aquatics Polo Club (CAPC), my family’s club. Now I play for Hickory Water Polo Club (The first age group team in Indiana.), where I get to work with younger athletes and help them learn the fundamentals of the game. This has helped me continue and understand my grandfather’s legacy. I would like to thank all my coaches and my family for all their support. Without them, this would not be possible.
The cost to attend the USA Water Polo National Team Selection Camp (NTSC) is expensive. Since USA Water Polo’s development program is not funded by the government, each athlete is responsible for fundraising. Any donation, big or small, will help cover my training, travel, and lodging expenses, allowing me to represent the USA and continue building my legacy in water polo. I’m determined to chase my dream of wearing the red, white, and blue for Team USA.
Thank you so much for your time, support, and consideration.
