Personal
The weeks surrounding this year’s New York City Marathon are going to be significant to me in several ways. I am lucky enough to be a groomsman in a lifelong friend's wedding, celebrate the USMC's 250th Birthday with my fellow Marines, and complete my final phase of flight school in Corpus Christi, TX.
Since graduating college, I have been set on working towards my designation as a Naval Aviator in the United States Marine Corps and receiving Wings of Gold. I’ve lived in three states, worked through four distinct phases of flight school, and will continue my career flying the MV-22 Osprey. By nature, flight school is extremely intrinsic and focused on the development of an individual to master necessary skills. These skills exist on the personal level but are singularly directed at supporting and enabling the success of other Marines and service members.
This is why running for Tuesday’s Children and the mission they support is such an incredible opportunity. Individually challenging moments for the purpose of supporting a greater cause. Running is a new way for me to reach out and channel these goals and I am grateful to be doing it in such a unique place.
Tuesday’s Children is able to support a broad spectrum of programs due to their incredible staff but also the generosity of donors. Please consider giving after reading this. I’ll be matching donations up to $1,000 to support an overall goal of $4,000. 1st beer will be on me if I’m able to thank you in person.
