Preeclampsia has touched my life and the lives of my family in a way that is both deeply personal and incredibly impactful. Having experienced this condition during all three of my pregnancies, I know firsthand how frightening, overwhelming, and unpredictable preeclampsia can be. Each time, we faced uncertain health outcomes for both me and my babies, and each time, I was reminded of the importance of awareness, research, and support for those going through the same struggles.

The journey of living with preeclampsia is not just about the physical challenges; it's also about the emotional toll it takes. From hospital bed rest to unexpected medical interventions, the anxiety and fear of the unknown have been constant companions. As a family, we’ve navigated the ups and downs of every pregnancy with the hope that we could make it to the safe delivery of our babies. But we also learned how crucial early detection, proper care, and education are in managing this condition.

By walking for the Preeclampsia Foundation, I am raising awareness about the realities of this condition and the importance of continued research to better understand and treat it. I walk to honor the strength of all those affected by preeclampsia and to support future families who may face the same challenges. Our family's journey has been one of resilience, but it shouldn't have to be this difficult for others. Together, we can bring attention to the need for better resources, education, and advancements in maternal health.
