My little Avery is the light of my life, but his entrance into the world was not smooth. Some of you know and others may not, but at 32 weeks, I was diagnosed with Preeclampsia and ICP. Due to complications with these diagnoses, Avery was born at 34 weeks and spent some time in NICU. He’s grown wonderfully and now you would never know he came into this world at 4lbs, but he’s only here today because I was able to get the help we both needed.
Preeclampsia rates are on the rise in the US and are a leading cause of maternal and infant illness and death. Everyone can help to move research forward for families affected by preeclampsia. Donations from this fundraiser will support the Preeclampsia Foundation and research.
