Hi Friends and family... and Thank You for your interest in learning about the Cause: Our upcoming Ride for The EOD Warrior Foundation -- we're jumping on our bikes again in about 10 days (Nov 8th) at Tackitt Vineyards in Paso Robles. I'm part of Team Orca, 13-strong this year! and we're excited for a fun weekend, 48-mile Ride, raising funds in support of our Explosive Ordnance Disposal Wounded Warriors and their families! The mission of the Foundation reaches far and wide, providing assistance and a supportive community to all EOD active, retired, family, and Veterans when the need is there. Help comes in the form of: Travel funds to bring family members to a hospitalized spouse/parent, Lodging near a recovery or rehabilitation center, Counseling services for the individual and family members, Connections to one of 3 EOD Family-focused retreat centers, Educational support to EOD family members through The EOD Scholarship Fund, EOD Events around the country for morale-building and reunion opportunities.....to cite only a few avenues of assistance. We reach out where help is needed-- "once EOD Family, always EOD." I'll be riding for my 2nd time ~ Yes! have turned in my tossing pizza's for the day and pouring excellent EOD Cellars wine skills to cycling ....brought on by cousins flying in from New York for the ride, my brother and sisters joining, our Orca "family" riders and even Aly's college roommate & friend joining this year! As we all prep for the Ride, know that we are doing so with our hearts full. We know that every little bit helps support these courageous men and women of EOD and their families who sacrifice so much for our country. Some have given All, and the Foundation is there to help.
