CHIME’s 2025 Read-a-Thon has arrived!
June 9 to August 10

Welcome to CHIME’s 2025 Read-a-Thon, our annual summer reading adventure that helps keep those brains sharp and raises money to grow our incredible school library.

CHIME Charter’s library isn’t just a quiet place with books—it’s a vibrant hub for curiosity, inclusion, and discovery. From audiobooks and large-print titles to stories in Spanish, graphic novels, and nonfiction gems, we’re building a collection that reflects every kind of reader and supports students with diverse learning needs. This work is part of our commitment to creating an environment where every student feels seen, supported, and valued. But we need your help to keep it growing!

Here’s how to join the fun:

1. Sign up today! Register on your own or team up with siblings or friends.
2. Set your goals. How many minutes will you read? How much can you raise to support the library?
3. Log your reading each week. Use our online log form or print a paper log if you’re going off the grid this summer.
4. Spread the word! Ask friends and family to support your reading with a flat donation or by pledging per minute or book. Once you register, you can send out emails to your family and friends! 

Whether you’re into fantasy quests, animal facts, silly poems, or spine-tingling mysteries, your reading makes a real difference.

Reading Incentives

Every minute counts! As you reach each milestone, you’ll unlock a new prize!

• 100 minutes: Pencil and bookmark featuring library designs
• 300 minutes: Free Kids Meal coupon from Panda Express
• 500 minutes: “I Love My Library” pin
• 1,000 minutes: Mini notebook for all your brilliant ideas
• 2,000 minutes; Your stuffy or action figure gets a sleepover in the library
• 4,000 minutes: Unlock the ability to check out six books at a time
• 8,000 minutes: Run the library checkout desk
• 12,000 minutes: Earn the title of Librarian for the Day

Prizes for the Top 3 Readers

We’ll also honor the Top 3 Readers across Elementary and Middle School!

• 1st Place: $75 Barnes & Noble gift card and Read-a-Thon certificate
• 2nd Place: $50 Barnes & Noble gift card and Read-a-Thon certificate
• 3rd Place: $25 Barnes & Noble gift card and Read-a-Thon certificate
