Hi, everyone! If you know me, you know that I'm a passionate middle school teacher who loves supporting my students both in and out of the classroom. I've always thought it would be cool to run a marathon for charity, so this year, I’m lacing up my running shoes for the Chicago Marathon, and I’m running to support a cause that’s incredibly important to me—Erika’s Lighthouse.
As an educator, I’ve seen firsthand how depression affects my students. Each year, I work with more and more young people grappling with these challenges, and it’s clear that the need for support is growing. Erika’s Lighthouse is a beacon of hope in this effort. They provide free, essential materials to schools and families, helping to educate and support students dealing with depression and ensuring they don’t feel alone.
By contributing to my marathon fundraiser, you’re helping Erika’s Lighthouse continue to make a meaningful impact. Your donation will directly support their work, enabling them to reach more schools and families with the resources they need to address teen depression.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Together, we can provide more support, understanding, and hope to the students who need it most. Thank you for joining me in this crucial effort to make a positive change!
