This October, I’ll be running the Chicago Marathon in support of Erika’s Lighthouse a remarkable organization with a mission close to my heart. Erika’s Lighthouse is committed to ensuring that no young person ever feels alone in their depression. Through empathy, education, and community, they’re changing the conversation around mental health in schools.

Their programs empower middle and high school students and educators to create safe, inclusive spaces where open conversations about mental health can happen. They’re equipping young people with the tools and support they need showing them that it’s okay to not be okay, and that help is always within reach.

When I was growing up, mental health education was far less common in schools. To see programs like this making such a real, tangible difference today is both inspiring and deeply necessary. I’m proud to run for a cause that brings awareness, hope, and support to so many.
