Erika's Lighthouse is determined to make sure no young person feels alone in their depression. We are dedicated to creating a community of empathy and education. We create middle school and high school teen depression awareness programs so educators and teens can create safe spaces to learn about depression, letting students know they are never alone, and there is somewhere to turn.

I am so excited to be participating in the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, and even more excited to be doing so in support of a cause that is both personal and local to me. Having struggled with anxiety and depression myself for the majority of my middle and high school years, I know just how hopeless and isolating it can feel. My efforts are, in part, for that younger version of myself that didn't know how to ask for help and take advantage of the resources around her. The work Erika's Lighthouse does seeks to raise awareness, making sure teens know they are not alone. By supporting my fundraising efforts, you are helping them to continue providing schools with access to free mental health and suicide awareness and prevention education. In a time when depression and anxiety are more prevalent among teens than ever, the work Erika's Lighthouse is doing is truly invaluable.


