As a teacher, I have seen firsthand how important it is for young people to have support, especially when dealing with mental health challenges. That’s why I am proud to be part of Erika’s Lighthouse, an organization dedicated to ensuring no young person feels alone in their struggle with depression. Through their middle school and high school teen depression awareness programs, Erika’s Lighthouse creates spaces of empathy and education, helping both students and educators better understand and support those facing mental health challenges.

In 2025, I will be running the Chicago Marathon as part of Team Resilience to raise money for this incredible cause. By supporting this team, you're helping to create safe spaces where young people can learn about depression, know they are never alone, and find the support they need. I would greatly appreciate your support as I take on this challenge, and together, we can help make a difference in the lives of students who need it most.
