2026 Missouri Optimism Walk for Parkinson's
Join us for the APDA Optimism Walk!
Walkers will come together nationwide in 2026 to step forward in support of all people affected by Parkinson's disease. Your fundraising dollars at the Missouri Optimism Walk for Parkinson's will go directly to the local community, expanding programs and services to help more people with Parkinson's disease live life to the fullest, and funding cutting-edge research to find better treatments and ultimately a cure.

Day Of Information:
Registration, t-shirt tents, vendor booths, food, and activities will take place at the Plaza (area located above the bleachers at Westminster).
Participants comfortable using the stairs will congregate on the bleachers for the ceremony. If you're unable to use the stairs, there will be seating available in the plaza.
The Optimism Walk is a .25 mile lap around the track at Westminster Chrisitan Academy. Participants comfortable with stairs can access the track directly via the bleachers. If you'd prefer a flat route, there is an accessible pathway where volunteers and wheelchair assistance are available.
Accessible Pathway to Track:
The accessible pathway to the track is roughly .08 miles (~5 minute walk in addition to the .25 mile Walk) down a slight slope onto the track. Entrance to this pathway begins at the plaza. There will be skilled volunteers with wheelchairs to provide assistance along this route.
Participants using the bleachers and the accessible pathway can reunite on the Track.
