We’re excited to welcome you to a fun‑filled day celebrating our Autism community! This page is designed to help you plan ahead and feel comfortable knowing what to expect when you arrive.

When is the Autism Walk?
Saturday, April 25

SoCal Railway Museum

Registration & Entry

What time does registration begin?
Registration opens at 12:00 PM.

Can I register on the day of the Walk?
Yes! On‑site registration will be available if you need to add additional family members or friends.

What does my registration include?
Your registration includes all Walk activities and all‑day access to the SoCal Railway Museum and its amenities, including:

  • Train rides
  • Museum exhibits

The museum will remain open until 5:00 PM.

Parking Information

Is parking available on site?
Yes. Free on‑site parking is available on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

What if the main parking lot is full?
Overflow parking will be available across the street at:
Railway Elementary School
555 Alpine Drive
Perris, CA 92570

Fun Zone Activities

What activities will be available for kids and families?
Our Fun Zone includes something for everyone:

  • Inflatable obstacle courses
  • A magical Bubbleologist
  • Character appearances
  • Sensory‑friendly activities
  • Jumbo blocks
  • Soft play area (ages 0–5)
  • And more!

Is supervision required?
Yes. A parent or guardian must supervise children at all times.

Calming Corner

Is there a quiet space available?
Yes. A dedicated Calming Corner will be available for individuals who may need a sensory break or quiet time.

Can children be left there unattended?
No. The Calming Corner is not a drop‑off area. Parents or caregivers must remain with their loved ones at all times.

Event Map

Will there be an event map?
Yes! A downloadable event map will be available to help you familiarize yourself with the venue layout before arriving. There will also be be directional maps throughout the venue. You can also reference the Map below (scroll to bottom).

Food & Refreshments

Will food be available?
Yes. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase the event.

Which food vendors will be on site?

  • Wetzel’s Pretzels
  • Fuego Me Up!
  • Baby’s Badass Burgers (plant‑based options available)
  • Cali Porker BBQ
  • Pampa Empanadas
  • J & J Catering (hot dogs & churros)

Can I bring my own food?
Outside food is permitted if carried in a backpack or lunch bag.

Are coolers or ice chests allowed?
NO. Ice chests and coolers are not permitted.

Prohibited Items

For everyone’s safety and comfort, the following items are not allowed:

  • Alcohol
  • Smoking or vaping
  • Pets (service animals only)
  • EZ‑ups or tents

Permitted items include:
Portable folding chairs, strollers, and wagons.

Door Prizes & Fundraising Rewards

How do door prizes work?
Each paid online registration receives one virtual entry into the door prize drawing at the time of registration.

  • Winners will be drawn in person at 2:15 PM on the Main Stage
  • You do not need to be present to win

Top Fundraiser Disney Grand Prize

Teams that raise $100 or more will be entered into a drawing to win a $500 Disney Gift Card.

  • Winner announced via Facebook Live
  • Tuesday, April 28 at 6:00 PM

Safety & Wellness

Are there special safety considerations at the venue?
Yes. The museum is an active operating railroad. All guests must:

  • Follow posted safety rules
  • Stop, look, and listen at track crossings
  • Supervise children at all times

What if someone is feeling unwell?
To protect our community, especially vulnerable individuals, we kindly ask that anyone experiencing flu‑like or respiratory symptoms remain home.

Train Rides

Will train rides be offered during the Walk?
Yes! Train rides will run approximately every hour and last about 20 minutes.

Departure times:

  • 12:00 PM
  • 1:00 PM (Same time as Walk Kick‑Off)
  • 2:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM

Noise & Sensory Notice

Will there be loud noises?
This event may include periods of louder noise due to:

  • Announcements and music
  • Train whistles and operational sounds

We recommend bringing sensory supports (such as ear protection) if helpful. Calm Space will also be available.
