Name of your favorite teacher and what made the person special to you (any grade level, including college): My favorite teacher was Dean Barrett. He made learning fun and he was genuinely concerned about our well-being. He also challenged us and provided opportunities for us to develop leadership skills.
What were some of your most enjoyable times in school (any grade level): Some of my most enjoyable times in school include playing the flute in band, playing sports and participating in study abroad programs.
Looking back over the years, what advice would you give to your high school self or college self: Step out of your comfort zone, take time to build genuine, supportive relationships and don’t be afraid to make mistakes.
The reason(s) you are raising funds to support Project GRAD Akron ’s scholarships and programs: I am excited to support the work that Project GRAD is doing in our community. A solid education is the key to better opportunities. Providing scholarships will help students thrive both academically and personally.
