COLDWATER, Mich. – The City of Coldwater and the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities (CBPU) are joining the fight against breast cancer this October through a month-long campaign of pink attire, community awareness, and fundraising in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This year, the City and CBPU are proud to "Join the Fight" by raising funds for the Bronson Health Foundation's breast cancer centers in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo.
Supporting Local Breast Cancer Care
100% of donations raised through the campaign will benefit the Bronson Health Foundation and help support breast cancer care and services for patients and families throughout the region.
How the Community Can Participate
Throughout the campaign, City and CBPU employees will show their support by wearing pink shirts and hard hats. Community members and local businesses are encouraged to:
- Wear pink throughout October
- Display pink ribbons at homes and businesses
- Share campaign information and resources
- Make a donation to support local breast cancer care
Ways to Donate
Residents may contribute:
- At Coldwater City Hall
- At the Dr. Browne Recreation Center
- Online through the campaign fundraising page
Honor Someone Special
Individuals who donate in person may place a pink bow on the City's Breast Cancer Awareness Wall in honor or memory of someone special.
The Pink Bow Wall provides an opportunity to:
- Recognize breast cancer survivors
- Honor those currently receiving treatment
- Remember loved ones lost to breast cancer
Additional Community Support
CBPU is also supporting local breast cancer awareness efforts through its partnership with the Coldwater High School Booster Club. CBPU has contributed to the volleyball program's Dig Pink event and the football program's cancer-awareness event this fall.
Join the Fight
The City of Coldwater and CBPU invite the community to join the fight by wearing pink, displaying a ribbon, sharing awareness, or making a donation throughout the month.
Every contribution helps provide breast cancer care and services for patients and families in our region.
