Meet our Honorary Captains: Kylie & Connor
Kylie woke up the morning of February 21, 2025 and could not see out of her right eye. Her parents took her to the ER at AMC. Doctors found a tumor on her pituitary gland and that the tumor was not allowing fluids to drain from her brain. They performed surgery to alleviate the pressure from the fluid buildup and to take a biopsy of the tumor.
She spent two weeks in PICU and General Pediatrics as the medical team performed tests. The family was told that Kylie had a brain tumor and was facing 15 months of intensive chemotherapy.
Throughout her cancer journey, Kylie's younger brother Connor has been by her side each step of the way. He keeps her spirits up on her toughest of days and is always looking for ways to make her smile.
When asked about being an honorary captain, Kylie asked / urged us to honor her brother instead — wanting him to be celebrated for the incredible brother he is.
