Meet our Honorary Captain: Julianna

Julianna was born at just 26 weeks, weighing 2 lbs. 2 oz. She spent more than three months in the NICU, facing several complications and setbacks. But thanks to her fighting spirit—and a whole lot of love and prayers—she not only survived, she thrived.

During Julianna’s NICU stay, her mom and Grammie were able to be by her side every single day thanks to the Ronald McDonald House. The family shared:
“It’s hard to put into words how much RMH means to us. They didn’t just provide a room and meals—they welcomed us with open arms, big smiles, and the love and support we so desperately needed. They became family—and still are. We continue to stay there for Julianna’s appointments, and every time we walk through the door, it feels like home.”

Now 5 years old, Julianna is a happy, energetic little girl. Though she lives with some medical challenges from her prematurity, she doesn’t let anything slow her down. She loves dressing up, playing with baby dolls, roller skating, and being outdoors with her friends. She goes fishing with her cousins—often more interested in the worms than the fish! She’s also busy with gymnastics, dance, t-ball, and ninja course training.

Her family firmly believes that being able to stay close during those critical first months gave Julianna the love and comfort she needed to thrive.
“All the thanks goes to the Ronald McDonald House for making that possible.”
