Meet our Honorary Captain: Patrick

My name is Patrick Buffaline. I have had four heart surgeries. I have a  congenital heart condition, Atrial Flutter and some other medical issues as a result of my heart condition. My most recent surgery was in 2014 when I was 4 years old. I continue to see multiple doctors every six months for check ups and treatments.  Circle of Champs welcomed not only me, but my parents as well. At the time, it was the only place that gave me a chance to go to camp and do kid things without worrying about what people thought. Circle of Champs  is where when we wanted, we could talk to people about what was going on with my health and have people truly understand what we were going through both for me with the other kids and my parents with the other adults. But it was also where we were able to forget about the medical issues and just have fun. All of us made friends that have become an extended family.

Circle of Champs gives children and teens with life altering conditions the opportunity to gather as a  community that supports them with various fun events that everyone in the family can enjoy in a judgement free atmosphere.

Thank you for the opportunity to give back to an organization that has helped my family so much
