"Ailey" and "Whisk"  were stray kittens, slightly feral siblings, when CVHS brought them to me for 2 - 3 weeks of foster care and socialization.  It was July 2012, and having said good-bye to my beloved 16 year-old Hobeau the previous fall, I didn't feel quite ready to adopt again.  Foster care was a good interim strategy.  But the two of them had other ideas, for which I am eternally grateful.  They wiggled their way into my heart and became Mariah and Charlie.We celebrated their 14th birthday on May 19th !!!  Participating in the Walk for Animals is a means for me to give back, help save animal lives, and allow others to experience the kind of comfort and joy the two of them have brought to my life. As in years past, I will match the first $1500 received.   People have always been very responsive and generous, so I have taken the leap of faith and made that "match" up front.  Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
