This year I'm running!

My story

Hello,

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page for the Dempsey Challenge 2026!

In August 2024, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, I’ve gone through 16 chemotherapy sessions, 33 rounds of radiation, and two surgeries. As of January 2026, I’m incredibly grateful to say I’m in remission. While I’m still continuing some preventative treatments, I’ve come a long way—and I don’t take that for granted for a second.

Along the way, I found support at the Dempsey Center that made a real difference in my recovery. I’ve personally used services like massage, reiki, and acupuncture—and yes, spent time with some amazing therapy dogs. These services aren’t just “nice to have”—they genuinely helped me heal, physically and emotionally. And the most incredible part? They’re all provided completely free to cancer patients and their families.

Last year, I walked the 5K as part of this event. This year, I’m pushing myself a little further and running it—something that didn’t feel possible not that long ago.

That’s why this cause means so much to me.

Every dollar raised through the Dempsey Challenge goes directly toward providing these no-cost services to people navigating cancer. Donations of any size truly make an impact—whether it’s helping someone manage treatment side effects, find emotional support, or simply feel a little more like themselves again.

If you’re able, I would deeply appreciate your support—whether that’s through a donation or by sharing this page with others.

Thank you!
