I am riding for the first time this year in honor of my mother who died in 2024 due to complications from lung cancer. I also ride for the other family members I've lost due to cancer and those friends and family close to me how are currently battling the disease and those who have beaten it.
The Dempsey Challenge is the premiere fundraising event for the Dempsey Center, a nonprofit founded by actor Patrick Dempsey. The Dempsey Center makes life better for people impacted by cancer by easing the side effects of cancer by improving their physical, emotional, social, familial, and functional well-being at any point in their cancer journey--all at no cost.
