I am excited to be running with Dragon Master Initiative’s TEAM FIRED UP at the Walt Disney World Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend in October. I am thrilled to again partner with an organization so dedicated to finding a cure for pediatric brain cancer and supporting families affected by this horrible disease.

When it comes to a patient and their family’s journey with childhood cancer, time is a precious, fleeting resource. Dragon Master’s core objective is to further children’s cancer research through collaboration and sharing of research and ideas, to hopefully find its way to a cure faster. They work closely with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and more than 32 hospitals as part of the Children’s Brain Tumor Network (CBTN) and have helped develop a large-scale database that houses genomic, clinical, and environmental data on pediatric brain tumors that can be used as a model for research into other types of cancer and rare diseases. Real-time feedback is shared, allowing researchers to find out what works, and fails, faster. The Dragon Master Initiative also connects patients and their families with the resources needed to help them get through the journey with as much support as possible.
