This year marks my fourth year supporting the Dragon Master Initiative, an organization dedicated to accelerating brain cancer research and improving outcomes for patients and families. Every year, this mission becomes more personal for me, but this past year it took on an entirely new meaning.
In 2025, I was diagnosed with a benign mass in my brain. I am grateful every day for that word: benign. Even so, the experience gave me a powerful understanding of how vulnerable and uncertain life can feel when a doctor says there is something in your brain. It changed how I see this cause. It changed how I see myself. And it deepened my commitment to helping advance research that can save or improve lives.
This year, I am showing up again as someone who now understands what it feels like to be inside an MRI for hours.
This journey has also motivated me to rebuild my health, strength, and mobility. Taking part in these events gives me a clear goal and a meaningful way to keep moving forward. Every mile, every step, and every challenge becomes part of something bigger.
I would love your support.
Your donation, no matter the amount, helps fund vital research, data sharing, and innovative approaches that connect scientists and clinicians to solve some of the toughest challenges in brain cancer.
If you have supported me in the past, thank you for being part of this journey. If you are considering donating for the first time, I would be honored to have you join me.
Together, we can move closer to better treatments, better answers, and better outcomes for families, for fighters, and for the future.
? Will you help me support the Dragon Master Initiative this year?
