Participating in DogFest Bay Area 2026 means so much more to me than just raising money — it’s about giving back to an organization that completely changed my life.

When I was matched with my service dog, Alonzo, through Canine Companions, I gained so much more than a highly trained dog. I gained confidence, independence, support, and a partner who is by my side every single day. Alonzo helps me navigate challenges that many people may never see, and because of him, I’m able to do more, go more places, and live life with greater freedom and security.

But Canine Companions provides more than service dogs — they provide hope, connection, education, and a community that truly feels like family. From the volunteers and trainers to the graduates and supporters, this organization changes lives every day, completely free of charge to the recipients.

That’s why I’m participating in DogFest Bay Area 2026: to help give someone else the same life-changing gift that Alonzo gave me. Every donation helps support the breeding, raising, training, and placement of these incredible service dogs.
