I got Buoy in February of 2026 after an almost 4 year wait. To say Buoy has changed my life is an understatement. Buoy helps me do everyday tasks like picking up items off the floor, opening doors (his favorite), getting a drink from the fridge, and even throwing out the trash! I not only got a service dog, I got my best friend (provided to me free of charge by CCI). I know I don't have to face any day alone with him by my side. No matter what type of day I have, I have joy because I have Buoy.  Sincere thanks to his puppy raiser, trainers, and everyone at CCI.  If you have been touched by Buoy or you simply want to make a lfie changing difference in the life of a person with a disability, please consider donating.  With love and tail wags, Laura and Buoy

Leading up to DogFest Long Island 2026, I am raising money to support the Canine Companions mission. The impact these dogs have on the lives of people with disabilities is incredible. Help me get to my fundraising goal by donating online so we can get more of these amazing Canine Companions service dogs into the lives of those who need them. Every little bit will help me reach my goal. Thank you!
