I’m raising funds this year for my personal DogFest page because I have been gifted Eve, my Service Dog through Canine Companions. She was highly trained and provided at no charge because all funding is provided only though private and foundational donations. She was 2 years old when I received her and spent 2 weeks in our regional training center in New Albany, OH getting to know her. She’s all business when working, and all “dog” when not! She’s the best piece of medical equipment I could ever dream of to alleviate some of the effects of Osteo-arthritis in my spine. Within 2 months I had a realization that my back wasn’t as tender or sore as usual – and yep, all because I no longer needed to bend as much to pick up all the things my weakened hands can no longer hold. Think cell phone, stylus, keys, pens – and the most frequently knocked over CANE. It is only because of the selfless giving of donors like you that keeps people with a disability receiving these exceptional dogs at no charge. Can you help?
